Hey guys. My issue is that after about 30 minutes of play my screen stops updating but the game is still "running" as I can hear my footsteps, menu sounds, etc. I can alt-tab out of the window to close Rust in task manager and then run the game fine for another 30-45 minutes until it happens again.
Interestingly, my GPU usage graph spikes to 100% (usually running at 15-30% while playing) at the instant the game freezes, then drops to zero, even if the program is still running.
I don't think it's a heat issue as my card isn't running hot (GTX 1050Ti) nor is the fan running anywhere near full speed.
I do only have 8GB of RAM and Rust is using most of it, but I would think the program would crash if it's running out of RAM.
*disclaimer* My rig is really old but due to the video card I can run most games at an okay rate. I realize Rust isn't optimized very well but if my rig can manage 30FPS in Fallout 4, BeamNG etc there must be a work around for Rust (inb4 ur computer is shit).
