Garry's Mod will not download models/materials, crashes.

Alright, so, I am going to try to explain this the best I can, by trying to tell you how to replicate it.
1. Launch Garry's Mod.
2. Find any server.
3. Go into the server.
4. Have the downloading freeze on a model/material.
5. Crash.
I AM ON MAC, please don't just say "get windows lol" because that does not fix the problem I am having, it just makes it worse.
I do not know where to find the crash logs on my computer, so if someone could point me towards where they are, I will post them, for now, here are my specs:
Graphics: AMD Radeon HD 6770M 512 MB
RAM: 4GB.
Processor: 2.7 GHz Intel Core i5
I also DO have addons installed, I have tried undownloading them, then trying it, with the same result, so I do not believe that is the problem, I have also tried verifying the game cache, uninstalling and reinstalling, -autoconfig, and other launch options, as well as checking my content.

P.S. The last time that I used Garry's Mod was around a month or two ago, and it worked fine then, any ideas?
