So, i joined a server running a map called rp_newexton, they use the workshop version. Alright, i wanted to play it offline so i went into the workshop, subscribed to it and when i tried to start it as single player game the loading screen just hang at starting game server. So i tried to extract this map using "gmad extra -file ..gma -out" ... but there were no .bsp file created at the location, just the folders. even when i ran cmd as admin. So i had to extract it using a other way. But Nevermind, the extracted one didnt work either. So i wanted to Join this server again.. But Error "Your map [maps/rp_newexton.bsp] differs from the server's." Ok, so i unsubscribed the map. deleted all leftover files that had the name rp_newexton or its workshop id in it, deleted Cache, Download and Downloads folder in gmod and verified game cache files in steam. But still got the same error. i tried everything in stable and dev build. Also theres a lot of "Unknown read error 38" spamming in the console when i try to join this Server, which certainly didnt happend before. Now my console.log is about 440mb in size after trying to join a few times. Any ideas?
Firstly, try disabling all workshop addons and removing legacy addons. If the issue still persists, delete your ~/common/garrysmod/ folder, turn off Steam cloud sync, and reinstall.
