Ok so i usually use 2 furnaces to smelt my ore. I had put the 100 ore in and then remembered to split the stack. So i pulled out the stack split the metal ore and stuck the 50 back in the furnace. As i was putting it in, as soon as i clicked to let go it had made my sulfar ore into charcoal and deleted my 50 metal ore. this was in the first slot of the furnace. idk if i could do it again or what but it definitely bugged out and deleted my metal ore. (it is not on the ground either)

I understood it just fine, I just don't know what to tell him. From the sounds of things he had put a stack of 100 ore into his furnace and then removed it from the furnace remembering that he had another one he should use to smelt half of it. He then split the stack into 2 sets of 50 and tried to put one of those stacks of 50 into the furnace that he had placed the stack of 100 ore into before. At that point the stack of 50 ore apparently vanished.
There is a bit of confusion in what he's saying at the end there though since he says something about sulfur ore turning into charcoal but seems to be talking about metal ore with the rest of that. My guess for that part is just that the furnace was running and smelted his sulfur but it doesn't really seem to be the main point of the thread anyway.
