I heard they were going to be adding multiple islands to the map which you can get to through boat transportation. But I was thinking they could add Scuba Gear and maybe an underwater gun. You would acquire the scuba gear by getting pieces of the suit in the radiation zones/killing zombies. The underwater gun I was thinking it could be an attachment of some sort. Or maybe just an entirely new gun. Tell me what you think. Thanks!
Scuba gear would be too much. Boats are easy to make from just wood. It's why they have been around for over 10,000 years. Diving gear in general is only a little over 100 years old. Proper scuba gear is less than 60 years old. Basically, making and maintaining scuba gear takes a LOT of modern things that you simply wouldn't have in a post-apocalyptic situation (such as compressors).
It's a nice thought but considering at least half the community doesn't even like having modern weapons, I really don't think scuba gear would be very realistic. Besides, scuba gear would be much more expensive to make and there likely isn't anything to be found underwater. Think more Walking Dead and less Waterworld.
The "underwater gun" you're thinking of should be a Speargun.
Scuba gear is a bit of a stretch. A snorkel maybe.

What about the planes and military weapons? They've been around for 10,000 years? or 60? 50? 10? years?.. exactly, let the guy have his idea and wait for implementation or not.
And yeah.. I would love to hunt for fish and other creatures under the water.
swimming and diving would be cool but idk about all the gear. Rivers would be a great addition though.
