Need help .Run a DS on linux(debian) 64 .

Hi everyone first of all i saw the "server owners" thread

i have follow the step on " [url]https://developer.valvesoftware.com/wiki/Rust[/url] "but i miss understanding some part of the installation .

let's saw what i'm doing wrong

First of all steamcmd is allready install on my DS

1 ./steamcmd.sh
2 login anonymous
3 force_install_dir ./rust
4 app_update 258550

ok for this part

1 cd steamcmd && cd rust
2 ./rust_server.x86_64 -batchmode -hostname "test server" -port 28015 -maxplayers 100 -datadir "rust/"

i get this message and i don't know if it was great or not :

Set current directory to /root/steamcmd/rust
Found path: /root/steamcmd/rust/rust_server.x86_64
Mono path[0] = '/root/steamcmd/rust/rust_server_Data/Managed'
Mono path[1] = '/root/steamcmd/rust/rust_server_Data/Mono'
Mono config path = '/root/steamcmd/rust/rust_server_Data/Mono/etc'

i don't know what to do after this.

did i need to creat a .bat file ( if yes can somone help me ).

You're trying to run it on a dedicated server? You need to rent a game server from one of the hosting companies. The server files are not public.

The page is not relevant. That is not even the correct steam id of rust listed on the page.

So for the moment you can't host your own. You can only rent a server.

that was sad cause i can creat (i think) a very stable and massive server with my ds :

4 c / 8 t

3.4 GHz+

2x 2 To SATA.

Attention! During alpha, there is no public version of server files. It requires a beta password that is currently only provided to dedicated hosting companies. More information in this thread on the official forum .
