Unable to destroy Wood Doors, Chests and Barricades

Anyone have this issues where Wooden Doors, Storage Chests and Barricades can no longer be destroyed with melee attacks?

I encountered an issue on our server where destroying boxes or stairs would sometimes crash the server, but I attributed it to the mods we were playing with trying to get our Thundercube Arena concept up and running.

Yea,me and my friend started fresh on a server. After 1 hour of playing,we decided to hatchet down our neighbours shack door. Been hatcheting for literally 5 minutes - both of us. Door didnt take any damage what so ever.
