Rust is a survival game. Peoples actions should be interesting for a lot of scientists who want to learn more about human behaviour and psychics. They'd get a Lot of Information by Setting up a Server on their super computer, having a very Lot of slots.
But it would have to be splitted in normal Slot realms.
It'd be a very very innovative use for a survival game. Reality is a Kind of survival game, too. You just have more possibilities to Act and React.. But i think you are going to give the Players More and more possibilities, too, by including more and more crafting Things and Interaction, ...
I will continue later, After work.
Not sure what this is about but, I don't think scientists will be learning human behavior while people are being asses to each other in Rust. 200 Limit is more than enough people in one server. Seems to runs good with new patch and with a good amount of people.
And then the scientists just face-palm when they see the trolls, and then lose all hope for humanity with the amount of spawn killers and people that shoot on sight.
How a person acts in a video game does not reflect how they act if they were in a similar situation in reality. This is because in a video game, there are no real consequences to your actions. The results from such a study would be rather worthless.
Not worthless, it would Show how People Act in different situations, with different influences, Not the influences of real life, but there'd be nerly no unknown influences, instead of those the researches are for.
Sorry, if i made many grammatical mistakes ;) Hope You Understand what i mean...
What I'm saying is that the results of the study wouldn't be usable in any real world application. All they would show is what people would do IF there was absolutely no accountability or consequences and dying did not matter, which isn't really a situation that would ever happen in real life. It's like asking a hypothetical question about a situation that could never happen. Knowing the answer doesn't benefit anyone. Although in this situation, the info may be beneficial to video game developers, but that's it.
When you just started playing the game, owning nothing, being killed and looted doesn't matter for you. But Imagine the Situation, when you looted your First AirDrop running towards your home being chased by some Full kevlar guys and you missing the right way and so on. It does matter depending on how much Time You spent in getting your equip and other stuff.
After a Server wipe, People don't kill each other that much, because they have to gather more materials. They better cooperate in this Situation.
