My spec: PS: My pc box is fucked. half is broken lol, went to the store the other day and thinking about buying one around 120$~, do boxes matter? or is it just visuals? What do you think i should upgrade? my fps is not bad in rust but i stutter.. like i feel the fps quality is low if that's a thing. every few sec it happens for 1~ sec. then it goes smooth then happens again. Worth mentioning: When i run rust my CPU temp is around 35-47 (Was +90) just bough a new air cooler pricey shit. ahh . GPU TEMP is around: 70-80 in-game.
Definitely upgrade your ram. A lot of games now require about 8gb of ram. Your graphics card should be alright for rust but it wouldn't hurt to upgrade it eventually. With any upgrades though it's possible you might need to upgrade your power supply as well.
I'd recommend more ram (16gb) with a higher Mhz than what you currently have.
Gtx 950 or 970 cpu i7
Yea ram. See what your motherboard will max out to. I hope you got thermal paste for the CPU!

16gb of ram, any speed and an SSD for your own sanity. After that gpu if you feel you need more. 670 isn't that terrible. I have a i5 box with a gtx560ti that can still run rust good enough to craft and tower camp. *cough* Difference is it has 16gb of ram. As far as I can see that's a big thing for Rust. I get the same frames from having my newer GTX 970 in either box. (Intel i5 650 @3.6ghz vs. AMD FX9590 @5ghz) So I really don't think the CPU makes much difference. Maybe a few frames, but it's really hard to tell. My buddy has an i7 with a gtx 970 and he gets a few more, but he's also running windows as opposed to Linux as I am so I think that's more likely what gives him the little boost. Start with the ram. 8gb just ain't enough anymore. Go from there.
