I was playing with a friend and we finally managed to make our first home complete with sleeping bag for spawning. Now i logged out inside and tried logging in the next morning.
Logging back in i was a fresh spawn, i checked on the location and found there were no remains of anything no foundation no pillars no walls. I know the server did not wipe because we also built the cheap wooden housing not to far away and those were still standing. is it that easy to destroy a building via a player?
any ideas what happened?
Thanks for potentially clearing these things up

Was NOTHING at all left? Normally pillars and foundations stay if it was decay.
absolutely nothing. (say it again)
If it was not decay then i guess somebody was just out to destroy my house?
i know you can break down doors with C4 with relative ease. I find it strange that somebody would go through the trouble though because all the housing that was around from other people was still standing.
i am still confused on what happened but heres to hoping it doesn't happen again
Possibly a rollback.,
How big was your house?
Decay occurs from the outside inwards, so when my house started decaying it had the outer walls destroyed, but the inside remained.
This shouldn't happen within 24hours - I'm not really sure how it works though, many theories have been disproven, but I am sure that the foundations + pillars should have remained.
I agree, possible rollback.
hmm a rollback would make the most sense because from what people have said before decay has been ruled out.
Now to go learn about that finer points of rollbacks.
Thanks guys!
There's no such thing as a rollback in rust, there's only a hard wipe and a wipe.
Hard wipe - Lose everything, map resets, forget all blueprints
Wipe - Map resets, you keep your inventory and blueprints.
If you're on a sleepers server, perhaps you were killed.
