You can put doorway+door, and open/close it sometimes. Should work, not sure.
I not sure if this matters but make sure that its not touching any rocks. This may only be for the first one you place. I had two bases. One decayed away. The only difference I could see was the one that decayed away the first foundation was touching a rock. Both building touch a rock at some point but the first place foundation that decayed was touching a rock and the other first foundation was not touching a rock.
There needs to be a door, campfire, or furnace somewhere in/on the structure. The structure is anything built on the foundations, and all foundations that are connected count as a single structure. For a wood structure, use the door/campfire/furnace once every 2 days, and for a metal structure use it once every 4 days, and a standard wood shelter it's once per day. This will stop decay (it will not repair/reverse it, just keep it from decaying more). http://rust.wikia.com/wiki/Decay
There campfire and furnace.I play Rust a few times a day but it just happens ?
I don't know. That's how it should work by default. Perhaps the admin of the server you're on set up decay differently?
Garry is all foundation decay based of the first foundation you place? And is there a quicker decay if items are touching rocks?
