2)Place it near a house

Can still access higher floor with this method though

@mariusp I had a ceiling but yesterday I logged in but all my walls and stairs were gone but my chests weren't looted

Whats the problem, so long as they dont stack on top of each other then its just a good technique, problem is griefing, its way to easy to block people in to their own house with a few planks of wood :S
