"Easy" Anti Cheat doesn't work, can't play game because of it. - Rust

Every time I launch the game I am prompted to install this abomination, even giving into it's monstrous desires only nets me with an error code, preventing me from launching the game. The error is "Rust Launcher Error - EasyAntiCheat installation failed due to an unknown reason." Before you spam me with requests to run it in "administrator mode" etc. could you actually come up with something useful instead of telling me to try things I already know to try.

Install Gentoo. The Linux version doesn't need EAC.

The whole background screenshots creeps me out. I'm a hypocrite I guess, because on Legacy I've been fucked over by hackers so much that I would of course wish this software on them. It just irks me because I know I don't deserve to have my privacy violated like they do.

[t]https://i.imgur.com/AoiUkVB.jpg[/t] EAC is just more comprehensive as an anti-cheat, running as a service.

See, I'd be happy if it only took a screenshot of the game window. But that could of course miss some overlays etc so it's a tricky subject.

Nobody has time to manually page through tens of thousands of screenshots every day from all of the Rust players around the world. Screenshots are for human verification of automated detection.

Suddenly getting the same issue tonight. Win 7 64 bit. Can't get it to install. Uninstall, sure. Install? Not enough for Rust to start.

I Kinda get the feeling that EAC is pretty messed up :/ Getting random error now, too.
