Dupes back already? - Rust - Facepunch Forum

So i jump into uk1, and notice a tower made out of metal, now while i can appreciate a large group of guys farming hardcore a guy came out of said tower and i asked if he was dupeing, his response was, he had played rust for over 700 hours (so he is pro) and he had raided every house on the server to get said metal. His name is Nehrue and i seriously consider him to be dupeing. I have played this game for more then long enough to be able to spot a dupe when i see one, and this guy is almost certainly one of them. I normally wouldn't even bother naming a hacker on the forums due to the pointlessness of it all, but i feel with the patch only being out and server's wiped that if someone already is dupeing it should be brought to Gary and co's attention. p.s. he is spamming server constantly handing out 556 ammo and anything else people want.

There are still hacks/cheaters so possible someone can have a legit metal tower, or at least cheats and just hoarded lots of materials from raiding people.

I grinded resources 14 hours a day to build a massive tower. It's not impossible. Just unhealthy.

I just built a 3x4 all metal house with metal doors all over its currently 5 stories. i did that with materials myself and one other guy farmed, we have done about 0 raiding. I have about 60 hours maybe on this server. We have been raided before and lost a lot of our progress. I have a family and im typically very busy although i have spent a lot of time on the game these first two weeks i've had it. I am not sure why you think something like this is impossible. If i had built straight up this compound would be like 50+ stories high. I've been playing for less than half that and I can build a metal fortress. Hell you can build a sizeable metal structure after just a few hours of gameplay if you know what you're doing and luck is with you. Instead of attacking players who are better than you, why not find another server?

I just need to get better, thanks for the input. for the record i have played a shit ton more then 700hours pre steam, but w/e

I've built two metal towers in around 2 weeks of playing. I have over 100 hours played so far. It's called grinding and raiding. I also have a buddy that supplies me with all his gathering as well as I share the base with him. We pool pretty much everything.

I dont want them used against me. But gathering these resources isn't difficult if you play when the server is not too populated. I can gather hundreds of metal ore in one of my runs which I do in under 30 minutes. I'm not saying this guy isn't duping...I have no idea but I'm just saying its possible to have the metal tower and load of resources if you play an awful lot. [editline]14th January 2014[/editline] I'm not sure if you are aware or not. But there are sites on line that you can pay to get a program that allows you to use hacks in many games. When a patch comes out the hack usually stops working until the dev team of the hack updates it. In all reality a hacker might have an hour or two to wait after a patch before they can be right back at hacking. Sucks for us but what can we do? We can hope better anti-hacking tools are implemented.

Nehrue is not a duper.. he is a good raider.

Hackers... hackers everywhere in Rust now. I can't play the game without confronting one and getting killed and/or raided.

Exploiting is taking advantage of faults in the game. You're not very smart are you?

I my self have over a stack of 556 ammo + 9mm and frequently bandit/raid so ammo really isn't precious guns on the other hand are atleast to me.

Ammo is a piece of cake to manufacture once you learn the tech.

So crafting it for me is pretty redundant unless there is no such source nearby.
