After having tested the XP system on the prerelease I concluded that there are a few things I miss from the old system, but by and large its a vast improvement that still needs a lot of tweaking though (duh)
The mayor problem is that grinding dungeons is not as important as it used to be.
Sure, you could get an AK right away, but still with (very) limited ammo. I still love the variation and unsurety random drops add to a game though, so lets make them more usefull:
1: Let us craft ammo long before we can craft a weapon that uses it.
2: Add larger piles of ammo to the barrels.
and finally, now that the cardboard boxes no longer drop 50-100 BPF they are kind of just a nuisance (since food isn't THAT hard to find), they need to be reinvented.

I agree a little to both of them. Still it should be hard to find yourself some ammo, otherwise the whole idea of the XP system; getting up more equal, is counteracted. So a little bit more ammo would be nice.
The boxes are still nice because they offer you (relatively) a lot of XP. So instead of getting 50-100 bp fragments, you get some more XP, which is also nice. Looting through a rad town is giving more XP than farming resources which is just perfect in my opinion.

I don't want to swim in ammo drops, but we can do better than a single slug every now and then..
Agree partially the boxes, but where is the gameplay in opening boxes and droping everything that's in them almost every time?

Euhm good question. Maybe they can put the small amounts of ammo there;)

(rare and random) weapons in the barrels and ammo in the boxes could work for me! :)
Back in legacy you got a lot of ammo for killing Zombies or looting regular chest which were as rare as barrels.
We could reintroduce atleast the ammo drop on barrels so there is a decent chance getting ammo now and then.
