• Adding "Levels" for Crafting

So before I start let me just say I do not mean levels that would help with combat, I feel like that should be left alone- it would be completely unfair for a level 50 to attack a level 5 if the level influences strength or endurance. I think it might be interesting if there was a level system for crafting, making it where you can only craft certain specialty items when you get to a certain character level. It would increase your speed of crafting as well. Like adding the ability to craft something absurdly dangerous, like a vehicle- but, only once you've achieved maximum crafting and collected an unreal amount of supplies. I would also want the level to follow your character (so it would not get wiped when you log out or get killed.) Also, it would be neat if the higher your level the cheaper it was to craft items, like it would cost less to craft a wall or foundation (almost as if your character gets more efficient with building over time.) This game is very heavily influenced by crafting, it is a very large part of the game and I think it'd be neat to dig a little deeper with this aspect of the game, make it more realistic and rewarding for people who craft as their main source of supplies. What do you guys think?
Why would we want levels for crafting? The blueprint system makes more sense, anyway. The only thing I would find enjoyable is, perhaps, crafting experience for very similar or the same items, and, as you mentioned, that level would increase crafting speed and just maybe cheaper material cost for crafting. Forcing RPG systems into this game would be negative to the fun factor.
monet this is the 3rd time you have come up with ideas and posted it in these last few days. Please do not give any more ideas as all of them have not been supported by anyone, give up please
Yeah good point, any idea on how similar crafting experience would work? Like you become more proficient with wood items, or metal items, etc.?
I think experience for crafting might be a good idea. Like, some things take time to learn and a lot of practice. So I just find a M4 101 and, if I have enough resources, turn myself into a factory. It shouldn't be to hard, but it would probably increase the time between starting the game and getting fully geared up. It would make cloth armor more valuable, bows. Every change would be slower, making it more rewardable. It's something that should be pondered, at least.
