Why not add the ability to grow crops and raise animals?
It's planned, they are just busy with their current features. I wouldn't expect that stuff for a couple months at least, since it will take a lot of work to push into the game in it's growing state, as well as the fact that animal AI needs a lot of work before taming would be possible.

servers have to wipe to fast as of right now usually servers wipe once a week not enough time to set up a community and farm anyway :P

I assume that at some point the game will eventually exit even the beta stage and wipes will no longer occur.
