Anyone know if this was fixed? Can't see anything specific in the notes.
Been really annoying trying to play the last 2 weeks with 5-15fps whenever anyone within draw distance is in a cave, shooting back up to 60 as soon as they leave.
Can confirm still happening. Fps dips to around 10 whenever someone within draw distance is in cave, instantly hops back to a constant 60 as soon as they leave.
Tried it in a cave myself as well, as soon as I entered my fps plummeted...As soon as I stepped outside, back to 60.
Yes ive noticed it this evening aswell
This has been an issue for a VERY long time. Assume it won't get fixed until they completely redo caves because the current ones are very much placeholders.
Dungeon pits and tunnels as well. Those have seriously dropped in performance since the januari update.
I mentioned that here: https://facepunch.com/showthread.php?t=1502117&p=49558570#post49558570
I also noticed serious fps drops with the new rain. It looks great, but it hurts my fps bad. :/

How long is very long? I have been playing since mid last year and this issue only appeared in the January wipe patch.

That's also when I ran into it. Before that it was fine for me.
This issue doesn't effect everyone, for me if anything I get more frames when I'm in a cave. Never had any drops when around them. However I think the water treatment plant may need a bit of optimisation as when it first renders in I get a bit of frame lag and frames get a lot lower for a few seconds, after its loaded everything is fine though.

I've been experiencing FPS drops in cave practically since they were implemented.
