• SUGGESTION - Lockers?

So I have, what I think to be a cool suggestion. What about lockers? Lockers we could lock with codes, and keep there a small amount of things. Perhaps shouldn't be found anywhere, only crafted, and it could be hard to craft, but as well hard to destroy. ( And yes what I'm trying to suggest is something close to the lockers of Infestation, if you've played the game ) Tell me what you guys think.
helk has mentioned adding locks which can be placed on doors and chests, so no need to fret, its a planned thing, at least as of now
Keys would be an amazing addition. Really hope they follow through with that plan. :) Will add a lot more "roleplay" feel to the game, if you know what I mean.

Emergent gameplay is very very important, and is something we are trying to encourage through our designs at every stage. For example, one of the things people are asking for right now is for friends to be able to open their doors. They envision you clicking on a door, dragging people's names into a permissions list, pressing ok. To us that is the exact kind of thing we need to avoid. It offers no kind of emergent gameplay. On the alternative, if we make doors require keys just like in real life - it has emergent gameplay all over it. You could leave your friend a key in a crate outside, or make a copy for them. Someone might find a key and try it in a bunch surrounding houses to see if it works. It offers so much more than just going for the brainless, unlogical option of permission lists. so keys are also a possibility
I hope the locks and door sharing come soon, because today I got trapped in my friend's portion of the house that we live in and I had to break one of his doors down to get out.

When it comes to keys and raiding (at least on the attacking side of it) I really don't think a full team would run out all holding keys. Seeing the way thy go about it is dropping sleeping bags near the target. More then likely it will be one master key per player (I hope not one key per locked item) so keeping up with your key would be easy. The main problem is if you lost your key and some one took it from you when thy find your base its "grab bag". So this would mean if you know some one has your key and thy know were your base is you have to change all the doors and boxes, what ever you had locked. Need a way to change the locks so to speak, a tool or some item to set a new key. Plus need a way to make key copies for friends to make it work the way clans and small groups need. Combo lock seems the easy way but longer time to open
