• Rust UK2 official server

The official UK2 server seems to have several issues. 1 - The Valve Anti-Cheat IS NOT ON which is the biggest issue about the server. There are many VAC banned cheaters running around the server. VAC is supposed to be a good anti-cheat, doesn't it do its job? There are tons of speed hackers, aim-bot assholes and other shitfaces running around. This is the worst possible issue with the server. 2 - The admins/hosters aren't taking care of the server at all. There are none online throughout the day and nobody seems to care. 3 - The amount of lag on the server is frustrating. It seems like the Official server is there just to look cool and have nothing to have of a purpose but be there as decoration. Please, please do something about this issue. The server is losing attention and people who have just bought the game and come to the official server leave a bad rating for Rust, mostly due to hackers. Thank you for your attention. -Mr. Darkness
no the official servers are for TESTING ONLY got that? play on community/modded servers, thats why they are there
no the official servers are for TESTING ONLY got that? play on community/modded servers, thats why they are there
And face admins banning skilled players and using godmode/teleport :D
no the official servers are for TESTING ONLY got that? play on community/modded servers, thats why they are there
So you imply that cheaters is a part of it? That's bullshit. It is always the other way: Official servers are those that get most attention and have most people playing on. Thus they are more protected and are SUPPOSED to be cheater-free. Other than that, UK 3 (Stress Test) is a test server, but UK 2 isn't. There always were servers with VAC off in some servers, but official ones. The servers with cheaters have got to be in modded instead.
no the official servers are for TESTING ONLY got that? play on community/modded servers, thats why they are there
Hmm. I think you're missing the point here completely. Most new players will go the official servers first, and if they are riddled with issues, the odds of those players returning is a lot less.
Guys i need some help, i was playing on UK2 for about two days when suddenly i lagged, disconnected, and for the past few days was unable to rejoin the server but other servers were working. The Failed To Connect message appeared and said ''AlreadyConnectedToAnotherServer'' Any help please? i really love this server and the people are nice to play with but i cant get on!!!! my In game name is Marshmallowbobcakes so if thats of any use then use it however you must! Thanks!!!
no the official servers are for TESTING ONLY got that? play on community/modded servers, thats why they are there
That's not actually true. If it were they would all have "Test" in the title, which very few actually have.
The official servers have no admins and aren't updated. End of. I used to play on UK2... Had a lot of fun there despite the cheaters. It's a busy, unforgiving place but that made it all the more challenging. DKPite, Gruzzly, Harry Botter, Anon and others were regular cheaters on there. So KOS if you encounter those players ;)
Although I don't play on the servers anymore (they have been LONG since unplayable), It does make me sad, that garry (or any member of rust dev team) can't take 2 minutes out of their day, to tell the providers to restart their boxes, Or with the millions in game sales, even provide admin for official servers

The thing is, people here - myself included - will always say “it’s an alpha stage game” and repeat the news that the legacy game and its servers are no longer being updated. You spend some time on this forum and you soon realise that. But… from the in-game chat I saw during my 200 hours, I seemed obvious that a lot of players - or at least a lot of the vocal ones - don’t realise they’re playing a version of Rust that it no longer being updated. They don’t know about the Experimental branch. And they sure as hell don’t visit this forum. So for a lot of people, the ‘legacy’ version of rust is the ONLY version they know of. And the ‘Official’ servers are a natural honeypot for newcomers to the game. Add that up and, well, you have the potential for some bad marketing that could be avoided, in my opinion. I think if I’d earned $33+ million, then I’d spend a fraction of that to make sure people’s first experience of my game - be it the ‘real’ version or not - is a good one. Especially with some much competition out there (The Forest being a hot contender to become the pick of the crop, especially if/when they add multiplayer). But whatever. Garry is a millionaire and I’m not. So what do I know :-p

I have 500+ hours in the game and long ago realised official servers were not worth playing on. What I think is unfair, is people are still buying this game. Buying a game in alpha, shouldn't mean the game is at an unplayable stage (which it is on official servers), hackers rule the servers, and can even get around the anti cheat. At the very least have some decency and turn off the official server part of the server list. It is completely unplayable, and if I was a new player coming to the game, it would put me off a lot!
