• Hacker minset and number of players on PvP vs. PvE

Did anyone else notice the huge drop in numbers of players post-Cheatpunch on the official PvP servers, in comparison to the PvE (no PvP) servers? It's pretty clear by the chat on the US Central 3 that it's a lot of new players and the vast majority of "clan" types and previously dominant players are all banned. The server population hovered around 50 all night, and it used to be over 100+ before Cheatpunch. Conversely on the non PvP "test" server, there seems to be very little impact, and the player numbers were consistent around 80+ in the evening of the past few weeks. There seems to be some sort of connection between sociopathic behavior and the willingness to use hacks (read cheat). Even though the non-PvP servers allow sleeper kills and raids, there is a general sense of goodwill, where established players tend to give surplus items to new players, rather than shooting them on sight! It would be an interesting study for a psychology graduate student to pursue! ;)
