I really don't care if it's still in Alpha, I'm getting shockingly bad fps and the lagg is so bad (independent of the fps issues) that it is impossible to play. Please don't give me the standard "it's still in alpha" crap. I get it, it's in Alpha, but surely if I pay for a game I expect to be able to actually play it regardless of its stage of development!!
but it's still in alpha

This is an Alpha, pretty incredible how playable and how much depth is in it at this stage to be honest. Edit: Also yes some people get FPS issues if you took the time to read the forums you would have gotten an idea of that, and the stage of development that its in.
After I opted into the dev branch my fps increased significantly, along with the game seeming much more fluid. Try it.
Your idea of an alpha my friend is the call of duty, arma 3 cushyness that the majority of games release these days to make even more money.

I have played several games in Alpha (or “early development”) but this is one of the worst. Anyway, I’ve sent an email requesting a full refund. If not, then I will open a dispute with PayPal.
You do realize they can't give you a refund... http://playrust.com/buy/
Your idea of an alpha my friend is the call of duty, arma 3 cushyness that the majority of games release these days to make even more money.
I’m fully aware what Alpha means in terms of game development.
I’m fully aware what Alpha means in terms of game development.
Apparently not if you seriously expect it to be bug free lol. It's early access to a game still being made. Shits gonna be unstable and changing, this was explained very clearly on the purchase page.
I’m fully aware what Alpha means in terms of game development.
Good, then you will understand that an alpha is meant for testing and that on some computers it will not even work. This is due to the huge amount of bugs that accompany it. Perhaps if you asked nicely some of us could even help you fix your fps. What specs are your pc?
You do realize they can't give you a refund... http://playrust.com/buy/
I never stated that I wanted a refund because I do not like the game (I actually do), I am requesting a refund because the game is unplayable. [editline]8th November 2013[/editline]
... and take your sense of entitlement and shove it up your ass.
Very cute!
I never stated that I wanted a refund because I do not like the game (I actually do), I am requesting a refund because the game is unplayable.
Thousands of others would disagree with you saying it's unplayable, give it some time, maybe it's a problem on your end? I constantly have 150+ FPS and the gameplay is much more fluid compared to earlier.
I never stated that I wanted a refund because I do not like the game (I actually do), I am requesting a refund because the game is unplayable.
because it's a work in progress lol. if you're so upset at it's current state then wait until it gets fixed up. This is just like pre-ordering a game except you can try it early before it's all fixed up and ready to release. Why people don't get this is beyond me.

And like I said, I appreciate that this game is in Alpha but regardless of this, it should still be playable if it is being sold.
If a game is for sale then the game should be playable.
Ok let me explain it this way to you, have you ever heard of a Pre-order? well you can buy those before a game is "playable" but can you play it? No, Think of it like that. but except in the mean time while your waiting for the game to be released they allow you to be part of the development of that game. Did that help you understand? Now when you say youve played several games in Alpha what games do you speak of? Curious whether your talking about a feature release or an Alpha, many people confuse the two as a feature released may be labeled alpha or beta, but really the core mechanics are pretty much finished it just needs slightly more polish and more content to be added (for example Dota 2)
