I was genuinely starting to think i just sucked at FPS games (I am a lot older now than I was in my FPS "hay days"), then VAC bans start happening and Cheatpunch hits.
That very same night (last night), suddenly i start noticing a few things:
- The server i play on has gone from about 50 odd to 20-30 and a lot of ppl are talking about how many ppl have been banned.
- Suddenly i'm beating people and not being head shotted by M4's and P250's from miles away.
- When i'm creeping about in the mountains i don't suddenly run into 3 guys shooting at me way out in the middle of nowhere.
Summary? Thanks Gary, keep up the good work. It really is scary how many people cheat these days, like beyond anything i could have imagined (I haven't been playing FPS games for a long time). Maybe I'm old, but i can't for the life of me work out what fun can be had from beating players whilst using a hack, seriously dumbfounds me.

Yeah that's really awesome! I keep having to server hop because of hackers but I feel much more at ease now that cheatpunch is available.
Question: Will cheatpunch be enabled on all servers in the future? As of right now I'm sure many servers aren't using cheatpunch and I would like to only play on hack proof servers, or secure ones.
All servers can enable it now, in the future it will be forced.

I don't see how you can be falsely banned if you just run Rust and play. I thought anti cheats worked by evaluating your Rust.exe and to see if you injected anything or whatever. Either way if people just run the game and play it like that I don't see ANY REASON at all it should ban them.
