• Would I Be Able To Run "Rust"?

I was wondering if I am able to run "Rust" on my ASUS Laptop before I am certain on buying this game. Anybody know what the minimum specs are for the game? Also, if this helps, I am able to run Garry's Mod at 50-60 FPS on my laptop. Thank you for your help today!
Post your specs if you want to know if you can play.
A good program to get is Speccy, run it, then post a screen of your specs that it reads so we'll be able to tell you whether or not you'll be able to run the game.

Probably not. you may get about 15 fps
Probably not. you may get about 15 fps
I would have thought since I can run Garry's Mod fine, that I would have been able to run this game fine as well. Darn.
Gmod runs on the Source engine, Rust is on the Unity engine. Kinda hard to compare the 2...
I would have thought since I can run Garry's Mod fine, that I would have been able to run this game fine as well. Garry's Mod is running on an engine designed for small indoor spaces (ala FPS games) over half a decade ago (around 2005-2006), which in turn was based on an engine almost as old as the entire FPS genre (the Quake engine). Rust is a massively open world game running on the Unity engine.

Thank you for clarifying though. :(

It's not whether or not he's got a laptop, it's about what graphics he has. I can't see any graphics information in those specs. a2bradjan, Do you know whether you have onboard graphics (or what kind)?

Eesh. You might be able to run Rust, but performance won't be very good. You'd have to turn the graphics all the way down.

You probably wouldn't be able to play this game at all on that setup.
Since i saw that this topic is kinda "meant" for these questions, i'm going to ask too. I'm asking for my friend here that could his pc run Rust Alpha? His Specs: Windows 7 sp 1 64bit CPU : AMD Athlon X2 220 2,8ghz GPU : Geforce 8400 gs 3GB Ram

I guess I will buy the game once I get my new laptop :D
