Hey guys, I've noticed that there are now a whole load of new Australian servers available to play on such as "Dat Aussie Ping", "Steak and Beer" and "Streamline Servers AU". However, all of the Australian players are now spread across all of these new servers, causing each one to have no more than 40 players online at any one time, making the game far less interesting. I know this may not sound ideal, but my idea is that the majority of Australian players migrate to a certain one server, making it much more hectic and fun just the same as the international servers now are. At the moment, "Streamline Servers AU" seem to have the highest number of average players connected at any one time (around 35), so I would suggest migrating to this server, as it would be easier for the majority. No, I am not trying to promote anyone's company, no I am not posting this for profit. I would simply enjoy playing on servers with a solid amount of users (around 80-100) much more than one with far less. It takes the fun out of the game as loot and materials are far less easy to come by and there is almost zero threat of being murdered by enemy bandits. Please take what I have said into consideration and I think this will benefit the Australian player-base greatly. Thankyou! Please post alternative solutions to the low-player count problem here or any other suggestions.
As soon as you get more players in the game, when it is actually released via steam, I am sure that you'll see numbers improve. But if they don't... pick busy servers and play on them. No one is forcing anyone to go on a particular server. Some may even like the idea of 30-50ppl and actually having a bit of silence as they stalk around and every now and again a huge gunfight erupts instead of a gunfight every 5 minutes. I reckon about 80 on the current alpha map is pretty cool.
I will be playing on Dat Aussie Ping along with a few big groups. Anyone is welcome to join. In regards to
But if they don't... pick busy servers and play on them. No one is forcing anyone to go on a particular server.
That isn't quite true. You can't just move server to server like you can on War Z etc. You build a base on one server, learn recipes on one server and do everything on one server. Everytime you move it's a huge amount of time crafting for a base and collecting new things to learn. Doing that on 5 servers is just not practical.
Thats why you just check out whats busy when you like to usually play and go there. If you dont like the feel of it or it just isn't what you're seeking you can go try another. Sure... you'll have to re-tech and all that but even if you're solo its only a few hours of grinding.
the fact that all these player rented streamline servers have resulted in the playerbase being spread out and effectively made the game boring is why my entire clan has stopped playing. today we had to resort to attacking each other just to get some action. then we all logged out with our best gear on us, sleeping outside in the open.... cause we dont plan on coming back until there is A/ more players , ie enough to populate such a large number of servers or B/ some of these servers get shutdown and the money refunded to whomever rented them. with the current number of players vs number of servers the game has gone from being the game that has caused me not to load BF4 once since it was released to BF4 being the game I will be playing in the future and rust taking the crown of never being launched :(
Trace route shows that all aussie servers showing up right now are being hosted within US West. 150-160 ping. So not sure why everyone is still saying these servers are "Aussie Servers" when in fact the servers themselves are still being hosted from US-West. Anyone else seeing the same results as I?

Could you please send me a pm with your trace route to 119.252.190.191 Regards, uK
Resolves to zonenetworks in NSW.

Yup I get the same problem as Muramasa. ISP is Telecom NZ.
I have spoken with Muramasa, and contacted our upstream regarding the issue, appears that Telecom users (NZ) are currently being rerouted through the US and back to Australia. We are now waiting on a reply from Telecom. Regards, uK
