• Add locks to Quarry, Large Furnce, and Oil Refinery please

Please add locks to Quarry's and possibly the Large Furnace and Oil Refinery too. Quarry's are the only ones we can't completely close inside a base due to the no build zone size, so its needed most urgently. Not sure how frequently everyone else is seeing them.. But these Jump/Fly hackers have gone rampant on the Official Seattle II server that I play on. I cant even run my quarry during most hours of the day. Most of the time I do, a hacker will jump/fly his way past my external walls, taking everything in the Quarry, and escaping like Mary Poppins without the umbrella.. :ohno: I know there are always going to be hackers, it is a constant battle, and we will never be rid of them completely. However, there are things we can do to make it harder for the hackers to get what they want. This is a very simple solution that uses a mechanic already in the game, and would put a halt on hackers doing shit like this. Most of the hackers I have seen doing this will not kill people because they do not want to give away their name on the kill screen and risk being reported. They just take the resources and leave in less than 30 seconds flat.. Impact on game-play prediction: The Quarry becomes less of a raid target because people know they will be locked and have to destroy them to get the resources out. Not really a huge deal here, I only see Quarry's targeted when they are left undefended and running for hours anyway. Also, less external walls will be made around Quarry's because some people will feel secure with just a lock on them. Hackers will have to figure out a different no-skill way to get around playing the actual game as intended.
Maybe locks and code locks could be deployable to boxes and furnaces as well as doors and gates?
good idea! Add code locks to those and players cant access it! Or the facepunch devs could add the wooden building cupboard permission range to those if hidden they cant use all of the of thee above , including workbenches repair tables and research table,, Hype! anyone wount be able to use all of the item entity placements i mean! that is if your cupboard is safe and hidden , and not over taken

At least the bigger boxes. I never tried locking the smaller ones. I may have been misinformed here, but I was told that when you break a box with a lock on it, you only get half of the stuff inside. Can someone confirm/deny this?

The problem is the hackers not the quarry's no-build radius. Quit playing on official servers until the hacking gets toned down more.

Pretty sure that the whole point of forcing deployables outside and creating no build zones around things like the Quarry is to make you work to defend them. If you could lock a furnace, what exactly would be the point of making you place it outside? If they wanted you to be able to lock up a Quarry, why would it have a no build zone? I completely agree that hacking is a problem. I just don't feel that this is the solution. The real solution to hackers flying around is to not let people fucking fly around. Maybe it's difficult to hard code "people can only jump 6 feet" into the game. I guess it must be, or else they'd have done it by now.
Let's simplify the game further, let's have quarries mine wood too!
