as title states whenever i unplug my laptop i get maybe 5-10 FPS but plugged in i get around 60 :X any solutions would be greatly appreciated
just curious... what is your rig? go to the control panel and change the power option....
Your laptop likely can't fully power all of its peripherals when it is unplugged. My laptop does the same exact thing and I've tried everything to fix it. I'm guessing it's a gaming laptop?
By default, Windows tends to use a higher power setting for your computer when it is plugged in versus when it is on battery (an attempt to save battery life). It isn't a fault of Rust at all. Solution: Adjust your power settings so that when you are on battery it uses the power scheme that plugged in uses.

That's how they're set up to run, because running your laptop at full without power coming in drops your battery life FAST (Its made to help preserve power). You can override your setup so that it runs everything at full through your power saving options when its not plugged in, but you'll be running for your power cord in about 30 minutes. It sucks man, but Honestly just keep it plugged in when you decide to play Rust.

so your saying when opening up rust its normal for your power supply to connect/disconnect constantly without touching the ports? ._.
so your saying when opening up rust its normal for your power supply to connect/disconnect constantly without touching the ports? ._.
Sounds like Rust is running your machine hard, and it's causing the power supply/Windows to freak out. Download SpeedFan and see what's going on with temperatures and power draws while playing.
its your power options settings. when its plugged in its either using maximum performance or balanced and when its not plugged in its using power savings
Laptops should be plugged in all the time anyway

It's supposed to run really fast with the power cord plugged in, in the first hand, why would you even take it out? It won't start burning or anything, Hah.
I know charger are supposed to get hot but mine gets hot to the point where it literally burns if i touch it and thats only after about an hour of rust or 45 minutes of tera :u should i wrap it in a wet cloth to keep it from heating up so hot or is it really supposed to get that hot @_@?

I wouldn't recommend a wet cloth simply because getting moisture in the charger could be a good way to short it out.
Do it. Insulate the hot electronic device with a wet cloth, seems legit.
