Since steam launch, where I can see my ping to each server, it shows 600+ on every server (at best, some over 950 ping). I am from the UK. Don't know if its just me or what?
I have a 70meg fibre optic connection. Anyone else from the UK have bad/good ping?
I had the same thing for a few days, but then yesterday, it went back to being normal as in 20-150 ping. Not sure what was going on.
I've never seen a ping lower than 300, and the average seems to be around 400. With different hosts now it's unlikely that they all have such terrible ping, so it might have something to do with some error in the way Rust measures ping.
I think it's just the server browser being dumb, the New York 1 server was saying 500+ ping but once I was in it worked just fine.
When I first log in, every server shows a ping of 250 or higher. The magic refresh button fixes things quickly. Give it a shot.
