I am new to the forums and havent played the game yet but have watched a couple youtube videos and it seems like fun. Was just seeing what types of tips or tricks advanced players may have for newcomers.

Well it seems like people are not interesting in this topic so what is your preferred way of building as house?(one floor, 2 floors, tower, how many doors, walls or windows, etc)
