If you have enough calories and it's daytime or you're next to a fire they will come back on their own.
There are medkits in the game that heal you also.
Eating food will give you a small health bump if you're not full health.
I think OP was asking how to get rid of the little injured flag, not regen health. You can have full health and still show as injured
Bandages and medkits are the only way to stop the 'bleeding' effect.
Don't worry though, you can craft a bandage for as little as 3 cloth.
THe injured effect can ago away with anything mentioned in the thread except the bandages I believe. Also you may be glitched with the injury and may have to relog.
