So basically we spotted two full kevlar guys we damaged them with about 20 556 shots each, they run behind a tree and Boom the Alt + F4 and instantly quit. (Ofcourse this is only for no sleeper servers) And don't tell me about playing on sleeper servers! My idea is to just block alt+F4 so you can't press it, because it really ruins alot when I shoot people and they instantly dissapear :/

well get 2 headshots on them and they die simple as you shouldnt need 20 each
You can't really edit something that is a windows function.
I needed that much because they kept healing and hiding, But I hate sleepers man :/ Oh well then guess I have to play with alt f4ers. And yes I know that in some games alt f4 does not work, like pressing it doesn't do anything.
Without getting too in depth, you can intercept alt-f4. Just open up your favorite word processor or image manipulator and type something in and try to exit
What you can't block is someone killing the process manually, which takes a bit more time than pressing two keys
Maybe have your body stay there for a minute or two after you log out, even on sleeper servers? More to prevent combat logging.

Well, I can understand that wish. Look at other games: In World of Warcraft you can also press ALT+F4 and WoW quits immediatly, but the character will not be logged out instantly, so you can't escape an PvP situation by pressing Alt+F4. And if you want to log out in a PvP combat zone, you have to wait 20 seconds till the character logs off.
I think that is a smart solution for the problem of combat logging. Why not steal from a MMO :)

Well eeeeexcuse me! I just made a suggestion because I find it a little bit unfair to press alt f4 and instantly dissapear. It doesn't have to do with sleepers or no sleepers more with trying to balance combat logging....
whats your issue with sleeper servers if the combat logging is an issue for you on non-sleepers? if you're afraid of your stuff while you sleep irl make a better house, tons of ppl manage to build good houses, just learn from your mistakes in house building

Whats your peoples issues with trying to fix something on non-sleeper servers. That one time I make the suggestion that combat logging should be preventet on NON Sleeper server. Only Answers I get is "Play Sleeper server!". Well excuse me if me and my friend don't wanna spend day to gathering all the blueprints weapons and our two big houses again.

Sleeper servers are the solution to combat loggers, that's why
If you disable alt-f4 they can kill it in their process list or disconnect their internet connection. If you leave them in the game to prevent that you have.... sleepers.

People that play nonsleeper servers play cause they cant stand the fact that when they log out everything is out of their hands of control. If you are going to play in a server cause you cant stand the fact that you might lose your loot while your logged off dont get upset cause people logout so you dont get their loot. Nature of the beast man. I suggest you weigh your options with sleepers vs nonsleepers and just adapt to the new form of this game which I am sure will most likely become default before to long.

Anyone played tibia? the logout idea in tibia is kinda good and maybe should fit in here tbh, unable to logout within like 2 mins in a combat, and / or if someone force the game to stop, they should atleast be sleeping for those 2 minutes and then dissapear

I will play sleepers, I actually have no real problem with it. But my buddy started playing nonsleepers and I don't want to farm thos 10 hours man and you can't just say "we have sleepers so let's not even Try to get rid of a slight problem, because it doesn't affect us" Just try to be nice people and maybe try to help and not constantly bash me because I play on a non sleeper server...
I am all for sleepers once the hacks are taken care of. Until then , no sleepers for me and I will be a combat logging MF'r till then. People do it to us all day, I am not gonna be the jack ass who plays on principle and is constantly crafting armor and weps because I think its unfair to combat log

What's wrong with saying "a solution is being developed, assist in testing sleepers by playing on sleeper servers" when a complaint about the problem sleepers was designed to fix is raised? Welcome to alpha testing, where things are being [B]tested[/B].

All that needs to be done to make non-sleeper servers a viable option would be to keep players in the world for 60 seconds after they disconnect. Prevents combat logging, problem solved.

No after 4 seconds being behind a tree he was just gone, dissapeared. I tested it with my friend he did not die either I shot him, he logged of (alt f4) and then just logged back in with his stuff and all.

No i just want what people suggested, that the body stays on for some time, after you logged out. I am not bad at the game, neither am I pro. I know what to do and can find my way around the map. Why should I be that bad? Why do you have to insult me, just because I voiced my opinion. And please don't refer to world of warcraft, that game is complete Sh*t. Man atleast try not to be so hostile against one another...
I do not agree with keeping the player in for any time once combat has started. There are times I just want to collect stuff so I can just upgrade my place. Why should the game be only for puppy kickers?
I agree with everyone having the ability to voice their opinions and suggestions. We can say anything we want (within the rules of the forum) but only a few have the power to say, let’s make that happen.
live with it or play on a sleeper server. you are complaining about things that have a solution, its not anyone else problem that you don't like the solution. maybe this game isnt for you.
