Alright i'm going to make this list short and sharp. 1) Paintable walls. Im not a computer programmer but im sure this would be simple to code. The results however would be amazing.. 2) More variety in construction. Bases are way two square and uninspired. Throw in circles and semi circles. Circle windows, curved walls etc. 3) More distinctions with tools. A hatchet shouldnt be able to harvest an animal. There should be an upgrade to bone knives. 4) High tier (high quality metal based) tools. hatchet/pickaxe/gut knife. Should be more risk to have them outdoors, but the reward is much faster resource collection/harvesting. 5) Flares. If you want rust to be rewarding for teams, something as simple as flares will allow for stronger communication and team placement. 6) Traceable maps. Its really unlikely you will last more then 1 hour outdoors without dying. Thats fair enough, but we should be able to trace/copy our markings to other maps. Would really encourage people to go longer distances, to less memorized areas etc. 7) Higher tier bows/arrows. Get some metal in there. Composite bows. Short/longbows. Metal arrows. Incendiary arrows. Would make the early/mid game a lot more exciting. 8) A cooking oven. Similar to the large furnace, it can have about 15 slots and allow us to power through the raw meats that every established base accumulates. Right now its just sad trying to cook it all. 9) Cooking recipes. Allow us to make complex foods, that heal more. Pizzas/pies? 10) Sailing/boats/ships. Maybe something similar to the airdrop, in boat form. Could be interesting and make the game a lot more dynamic.
1. Yes if it there comes also an Expensive ressources with that Idea otherwise Penises and other shitty Pitctures on the base all over the place. 2. Curved walls seem to be a cool idea 3. the Knife already does the best job with the hatchet. 4. I would like to see it like that Stone tools -> Scrap tools (cheaper then atm) -> Hatchet -> Woodcutting Axe like a real axe + Pickaxe 5. Yeah i hope they make a comeback 6. I really didnt cared about the maps yet but everyone wants that to work why not then 7. I Hope there is a lot more none "Weapon Content comming" more primitive stuff 8. Cooking pot where meat dont burns how about that? 9. Human Pesto. 10. I dont now the Idea is great but it would kinda break the game at somepoint in my oppinion
Yes to pie.
Have to say, poor suggestions OP. I see each and every one of these as a waste of dev-time. I will agree with #7, we need practical way to hunt bears without firearms. In PvP I find crossbows work well, but it takes 10-15+ arrows, with hunting bow, to take down a bear. I was on the ground (presumably dead) when the bear bled out to death and I was brought back up. -Construction has quite a bit of wiggle room. I'd play around with it more or look up some videos. -Bone knife is already OP at skinning, bro -There is a flare like object in the game. Also torches. Also Steam voice? -Maps are already too handy. If you can ACTUALLY memorize locations then you won't have a problem. The game shouldn't assist you in any navigational sense. That's one of my favorite aspects of the game (: COMPASS PLEASE <3 -I don't see boats making much of a splash.. OP do you seriously want to sail around in a ship or did you just want to end on a nice even 10? [editline]27th January 2016[/editline] + Binoculars + Bearman Achievement. "Kill 100 bears with a hunting bow unlocks the power of the bear. You can now pass through walls and floors." + Compass + Rake - Create pathways - Bonus to crops in plowed fields - Fantastic weapon + Slight increase on the range of proximity voice chat & nameplates. Maybe an in-game friend/ally option? Coupled with a damage reduction perfaps? I see this as a temporary solution to the fact there isn't a drop of customization. WHICH IS FINE FOR ALPHA. I'm still salty because when my pacifist nature backfired and I assumed the guy next to me was one of my buddies; "Hey Tim" ... *BANG* ... That's not Tim >.<
I have a few that I'd like to share. ●light levels during the night to reflect the phase of them moon. Current in game brightness can be a full or near full moon. New moon adjusted to legacy level of pitch black darkness. The moon looks amazing in this game and this would add to the realism that rust strives for and give torches much needed love. ●radio towers/power lines: the power line in game act as an amazing beacon to help nakeds find rad towns, but I believe they can serve an amazing new purpose as a resource. Power lines would be single wooden poles maybe 3 stories tall with maybe 300 health? Poles can only be placed adjacent to power lines or 50 meters away from another pole. These power lines supply enough juice to power one transmission tower able to broadcast clearly in a 1km diameter. Maybe have a higher end tier power line to boost the signal? I could see this suggestion giving unique depth to the game that also compliments the atmosphere that rust goes for, much like how signs act. Not only could power lines be a way to get higher end players out of their base via raiders breaking the poles and cutting the signal, being able to broadcast has endless applications. Clans can use them for propoganda, announcing bounties, setting terms for outsider interaction, a distress beacon ect. Radios towers could be an flavor filled answer for proxy chat that I've seen people ask for. Use signs to advertise frequencies. I can also forsee clans competing over frequencies as a former of agression. A neighboring clan could hijack the frequencies causing hostilities between the two. Power pole: 300 health 300 wood 200 metal frags 2 high quality metal. Transmission tower: 2000 health 3,000 metal frags 500 stone 100 high quality metal Studio bench(where frequency is set and voice is broadcast): 500 health 1 repair bench 1 targeting computer 500 metal frags 25 high quality metal ●Radio/batteries Uncommon loot/blue print so even the nakeds can have one in their wood shacks. Compliments the radio station with an added perk of being able to intercept foreign (military) signals. They can either be static or dynamic stations, and give players clues to where and when a copter or air drops will be. If an entire server got a heads up on an air drop I can see the fight for the loot being even bloodier. ●windmill grindstone 10k wood 2k cloth 1k stone Acts with the same properties of a quarry ( and pump jack) and can either be powered by low grade fuel or have its process speed be determined by wind speed ( see below for wind weather suggestion) The windmill grindstone is my solution to the gun powder dilemma . Add sulfur and charcoal, and it makes gunpowder. Simple as that. It can be raided just like a quarry so risk vs reward applies. The grindstone does not need to be limited to gunpowder. Off the top of my head I can see corn being processed to make cornmeal then into corn bread as a more filling meal. And last but not least, dynamic wind to compliment the windmill grindstone and the potential addition of a wind turbine I've read about. It would be determined globally to set a base, much like rain, but also have local variable. The local system could utilize the grid system that survey charges already established. If you're in an open field the wind would be close to global base, but one tree in a grid square would decrease a 3x3 grid by a factor of .5. Rocks would be the opposite and increase the speed. The last determining local factor would be elevation. Higher = faster, mountain peaks would become high value targets for powder factories. Thanks for taking the time to read my suggestions. Had fun writing them and killing time at work. P.s. tree falling animations, plus adding a stump that would decay like a foundation and offer a little wood. Make it a small amount that is given so to discourage higher end players from harvesting and leaving them for nakeds.
