until you guys at rust fix this issue of utter grief ! I can no longer play this fucking game
So fed up of getting griefed in this way just because some dicks cant get in !
STOP THE DOOR BLOCKING !
you can put foundation stairs at the base of your door, and you cannot be blocked in.
also try railings.
keep in mind that a bug with the building system allows triangle foundations to be placed on top of foundation stairs, which would still allow for someone to grief your base. If you can build a triangle foundation with 2 railings you would be safer than just stairs. also make a top level exit and build railings around the door to prevent people from building walls/railings directly in front of it. Trial and error-- you basically have to try and grief yourself to learn how to proplerly prevent others from griefing you.
Thanks for the input yes maybe I did build a bit silly i did have 2 doors going up 2 stories but they then decided to encase my entire building in an extra layer if stone completely blocking me in.
I don't understand why you can build a wall so close to another, I like the new wall design but wish they would bring back the old pillars system ! Wish they bought back the old stairs as well !
Try not building foundation steps or any foundation directly beside your building or each other. Leave gaps in between them. This leaves a path to walk in case the foundation is griefed
The building system is amazing but it needs some tweaks to allow people to build without having to worry that anyone can come along and ruin your house quite so easily. For starters nothing should be able to be built in the space right in front of a door. Secondly structures need an ownership tag. Anyone can come along and throw up walls everywhere in your structure.
I understand the system is still being designed I just hope Gary realizes that a lot of players are going to be driven off if their houses don't have at least a modicum of safety. As it stands currently between griefers and glitchers building houses is a lesson in futility and that's really the only thing to do besides killing other players.
I'm excited to see where this game is heading I'm also very skeptical about some things.
I am a builder in game and i have found some servers where the community is easy going and no one trys to destroy your hard work. I think as things progress the issues will get addressed and the retard greifers will be banned from servers making it more enjoyable. Now if i could just find that server i built an entire village on i would be fine lol
