is there a limit on how many building cupboards a player can have and how does it affect the old cupboards if you get above the limit?
How many cupboards was the most you had so far?
No limit. Wherever you are in your base, the oldest cupboard you are in range of is the "master" cupboard, trumping all others. All there is to it. Most cupboards I had is irrelevant I won't even bother trying to figure.
Well I'm, planning on building like 30 cupboards in little triangle foundations around the base.
Are you sure this can't have any effect on the older ones?
I know it works fine with 10 cupboards, but is there really no limit?
I imagine a mysql table with limited space, like 256 cupboards as a max.

You can but as much cupboards as you like. If raiders get your main cupboard (The first one you placed) the others wont matter. They will have BUILDING PRIVILEGE and they wont need the others
