With rust being released on steam it provides us a place to congregate.
This community is here for you to use as a hub for rust, from finding new people to play or raid with to trading. Additionally I feel like this opens the door for many in-game markets(Ex. Mercenary groups being able to establish trade for service, etc) If you have/had blueprints before they were essentially worthless if you already learned how to craft the item, now you can arrange a trade with someone who needs it.

Take the time to sign up and lets grow this community in the right direction.
Right now we have a chance to establish this community as gamer friendly unless everyone wants another case of LoL community on our hands.
The community will be needing dependable moderators etc.

sigh, I HATE new game steam community claim jumpers.
I'm not claiming anything, if you want to part take you can. I am trying to have rust be enjoyable for new comers into the community so that the community can be healthy. I am not claiming to be some official group, however I clearly stated what my intentions are and how I think this can positively affect game play.

This group shows a lot of potential. So far it has a growing community, a good Team Speak client. Everyone is very helpful. There is a place where you can arrange trades too. This is really helpful for clan building / trading. This could easily be a way for an economy to start while maintaining the survival aspect that is Rust's main characteristic.
