"Admin abuse" on community servers - Rust

Hey Folks, I want to mention a growing problem, i noticed on the community servers, which I and my friends have visited the last days. Basically i would determine that we're no whiners or flamers but if you play on various private servers and you are raped by admins all time it's quite annoying for (new) players. :suicide: I know that they paid for the server and it may their right to do what ever they want to do BUT I'm sure some guys, know the DayZ mod. As far as i know persons who rent servers for it [B]can't [/B] cheat items or sum like that like here in Rust. In my opinion i would suggest to introduce a similar system in Rust too: [B]admins have "limited" rights:[/B] -ban -kick -restart/stop server

Damn i just mad a post about an admin banning him for calling him out on using his "tools" eg god mode and uber hatchet to go around killing people. Not cool

You actually can spawn items in when you rent a dayz server and teleport wherever if it's on your own hive.

Their server their rules. Don't like it, leave and don't bitch about it.

They pay for it, they can do whatever the fuvk they want, get over it

Yeah, i know but i talked about the non-private ones. But that's not that important for now, i just thought that some ppl know that system from it and would agree with me faster^^

There's no use with complaining about community admin abusing. You're seriously not going to post a random thread saying "Admins on Garry's Mod should only have this, this and that powers because I got killed by one using god mode." It's their server, if they wish to abuse find a different server. I doubt anyone else would want to play on their server anyways if it gets such a bad image of admin abuse. Learn about the community and what the admins are like before going on a server, planning to stay there for a long time.

I have my own server, but all I use are the Uber Hatchet and Teleport. Sometimes I'll go around and kill people for fun, but I don't teleport or use admin tools to do it. Also I don't steal their shit, I just do it to put them in their place.

I don't understand why you guys are hatin this thread so hard. I think it's enough power to ban/kick unwanted individuals on your servers. But cheating or godmode is diffrent matter. It's just annying. I could bet that enought fair and honest guys would host servers again, with or without limited right [B] but[/B] it would help ridding lil kiddos with too much money or the abuser scum.

And how would you find it, if it would exist godmode for Battlefield-admins or unlimited nitrous in Nfs or something? U know thats not allowed because it's abusing like in the situation from t0bbl3r and the reason why that cheating for admins have to be forbidden if they want to play with with non-cheating players.

The disconnect button is literally right there and there are hundreds of servers available. And if the admins ARE abusing, then contact the main hoster of the server. You can't seriously expect the server hosting company or the developers to limit admin powers and lose cash flow because some buttmad guys on a forum told them to?

Today, i got really good shit and wanted to introduce my friend to the server i was playing on, so i played with him for a while, on this community server, we had a few m4, really really good things then he randomly got banned for a 1 year old vac ban that he got for joining a MW2 quick scope lobby, one of those lobbies you could join randomly and get like 10th prestige. Then i asked the admin nicely if he could unban my friend with this reason, he simply said no and banned me to, i didnt even have a fu**ing vac ban. Now thats what i call admin abuse, especially when i had played on the server for like 3-4 hours.

Do you really think that god mode should be apart of the admins arsenal though?? Shouldn't they only be allowed to restart/kick/ban and set ping kickers and stuff like that??...im not for admins losing their power just the god mode and the uber weapons

It helps teaching minges and morons without getting killed by them. 2) No, only lower-rank admins should be able to kick/ban/restart. Server owners can do what they want.

It's paid [B]cheating[/B] and differs from normal server hosting with ban/kick.

When he created Dayz only him and his buddies had admin tools. People who rented servers were not given any at all. The result was that Rocket and his buds could ban R tards from their servers but those of us who rented our own had to be subjected to daily nukeings by rotten hacking script kiddies and there was nothing we could do about it because the community on the forums and Rocket were afraid of evil admin abuse. This endured for some time and then Rocket felt he would enable us to white list our server, ah, how kind of him, that still didn't solve the problem. The problem was solved when a few people like myself had custom anti-hacks and full admin powers scripted into our servers, guess what? The private servers with admin powers and custom antihack were the most popular, eventually we even eclipsed the official servers. See us private owners don't like F tards so we ban them so that decent folks can have some fun. I still host my Dayz servers. So the Rocket is at it again, he has a new mod, not over impressed since its just a re-skinned Cherno with more mods, lol. Anyway Rocket gives admins no ability what so ever, you cant ban or kick or anything, nothing. Guess what? Yeah hackers do what ever they want and for all this fun and excitement it only costs you 90$ a month to host a 40 person server. DayZ standalone is a horrible example of how to manage your private hosting community. I have said it before and always will in my opinion Rocket is pro hacker. Rust server owners immediately need a working player list with steam ids, ip, and player names. Players with funky names need to change their name to a format that is readable by RUST or they cant log in. Let private server owners do what they do best, manage their community and the F tards can go play on official servers.
