Ok, so I bought myself a copy of Rust and just started playing the game. I play the game on my iMac (21.5-inch, Late 2013). I do believe that my mac easily meets the minimal specs needed to run Rust, but when joining a server, everything is laggy. I have all the settings to 0 or off, and I even have the resolution of the game to the lowest (640x480). Even with all of that, the game just lags. Insane lag spikes every 10-15 seconds, sound lag, as well as mouse & keyboard lag. Any help on how to fix this lag issue would be very helpful, as I really want to start playing the game. Here are the basic specs to my iMac:
Processor: 2.7 GHz Intel Core i5
Memory: 8 GB 1600 MHz DDR3
Startup Disk: Macintosh HD
Graphics Intel: Iris Pro 1536 MB
Step 1) Wipe Mac completely
Step 2) get rid of Mac
Step 3) Buy a Windows pc
