Hmmmm,let's share our experience of our first day on Rust.
What do you do when you just started Rust?
For me,I gathered wood first,and rocks...Then tried to build a house.I failed miserably.
I was killed.
The second time,I did the same thing.. Then I started going hungry. I learnt that I would need to focus on hunger too at the same time.

I spawned and got beaten by naked men with rocks... seems pretty normal to me.
I spawned and sucked many. many many dicks, everyone was so nice to me four guys let me live with them on one condition if i sucked there dicks. so i gargled and slurped all my way too the top. and now i have another rock. worth it.

Haha,my favorite part when I started the game,turn the torch light but some how it just disappeared,and then I got shot and died.

i played two days after the release when it was free to register and you didnt need any keys, yes it was actually like that back then! cant really remember what i did, everything was fresh and glitchy. after a few weeks i ended up with a few kills and stuff :)

My first experience? spawning in the pitch black right next to people everytime and getting killed

I didnt know anything but it was one of the things i will remember a long time.
Spawned in near the rad field (used to be a warehouse there). Met and teamed up with few guys and built a 5-man house in the side of a mountain - we each had our own rooms and all. We had two neighbors that would always bring us supplies and help us out when we were getting raided.
Really cool experience for my first time playing.
I ran around killing pigs and chopping trees and found... JACKPOT!!! A doorless shack with ALL MANNER OF SUPPLIES in these crates!!! I was like this is great! I knew enough to craft a wooden door so I did that and attached it to the shack and felt very safe. I lit up the camp fire put on the armors ate some fried chicken and equipped the 9mm. I got a gun son! I got armors, and loots I have no idea what their use is for! Total playtime.. 15 minutes. Life is good.
This is when things started to go sideways.
As I am looking at all the other loots and trying to figure out what to do I hear some dude running outside my shack. Then I hear him chopping wood.. but hes clearly not chopping wood hes CHOPPING THE DOOR ON MY SHACK! I was so noob I had no idea what to do and there was no ammo in the loot crates! I got a gun with no ammo and a dude breaking in the castle.
I am shaking with fear now.. looking at the crafting menu trying to figure out how to craft bullets so I can end this bastard knocking down my door. I grab the gunpowder and the metals, I craft 20 bullets, prepared myself for battle, and open the door.
AIGHT BITCH LETS ROLL!
I see naked dude with axe am like wtf? Uncomfortable pause. Trigger finger screams for action.
POP POP POP I shoot the bastard as fast as I can pull and he runs. I go back in the shack figuring that will teach him and shut the door and wait.
Then I hear the chop again and now i'm taking damage. HE CAME BACK! Reload, run back outside and try and end this. Either way someone is going to be taking a dirt nap.
I see nothing. I go around the shack to find the dude and not so epic axe vs noob with a 9mm battle ensues. I quickly fall dead sadly knowing I will not see loot like that for a long long time.
I learned many lessons that first day most of all I immediately knew that I needed to go on the nonpvp server to figure out all the mechanics and gameplay.

On my first day ever, I did what most people's instincts would tell you to do. I gathered some wood, found a lonely area without any company, built a wooden shack, a door, and a campfire. I then proceeded to live and get used to the life of a lone wolf.
I later died to 4 or 5 noobs that had to unload about 2 clips from an M4 before I got stuck on a tree to kill me.
right as i made a hatchet and got things going someone shoots me wiht a p250 anyways whats a good way to find friends
I still don't have the game due to this stupid dutch auction system, but I'm assuming it'll still be a pretty bad first day when I eventually do get the game.
My first day was me just dying because I was trying to meet up with a friend so we could get started. Didnt work out well at first cause everyone just killed you and then you run out of hunger before you can meet up but then I manage to meet with my friend and started a nice little base, went and did some exploring but some guys ran over and shot us.
Second day raiders got into the base and destroyed sleeping bag so now we cant spawn back at our base. Being trying to recover ever since and that was a week ago.
My experience of the game has being frustrating after playing it for the past week and it doesnt matter how I do things I die before I can actually do anything and my friend has pretty much given up on the game because of that reason as to him it unplayable.
A nightmare. Killed all the time by players with hatchets and everyone else having a ton of duped gear and my house being raided all the time. I couldn't really build a house without being killed or raided.
It's alot easier now that the duping was fixed.
i found a pig and ate it THE END.
got bored so I gave my key to my friend and stopped playing
