So I was on a certain anonymous image board today (*cough*4chan*cough*) and happened along a survival thread with this picture. I Immediately thought "Rust." What would everyone think about having basic shelters like this, instead of making a 1x1 house (of course still keeping your huge metal mansions and what have you) I think that shelters like this would be nice for people just starting out, since it wouldn't take tons of resources, and it seems more practical at keeping you warm than a cold wooden shack. Also with the snow shelter on the far right, maybe snow can be added for people spawning on top of mountains or whatever. Thoughts?

yeah I see now. Anyway, that is a pretty cool looking shelter as well, just solid wood, would be a step down from the original picture probably, since it is one single resource. maybe like 30 wood makes that. Either way, that would look really cool in Rust.
The reason i think its a good idea is if things go in the direction of the community speaks thread a big tree would require an axe to chop down, something that you might have to work a little bit for, so these wooden tipis simply made from branches would help you survive for a little bit until you start making some progress.

The idea I had was different tiers of housing from the very basic structure like you posted, to solid, thick metal housing, where essentially you will start basic, then move up as you progress.
