Ok well just got on today and noticed how much difference there is in the price of gunpowder so I will break it down for you.
This is for making 100 M4 Ammo.
Before:
200 Sulfur - 4 Sulfur Rocks
200 Charcoal - About 10 minutes of burning wood in a single furnace
100 Metal Fragments - 2 Metal Rocks
Roughly takes about 10-15 minutes to obtain this.
After:
1000 Sulfur - 17-19 Sulfur Rocks
1000 Charcoal - About 20 minutes of burning wood in 2 Furnaces.
200 Metal Frags - 4 Metal Rocks
Roughly takes about 30 Minutes+ of gathering.
I sort of agreed with the increase on the price of gunpowder per ammo, but now you have made gunpowder cost 2 charcoal/sulfur each. The price of ammo has gone up by x5. Please just set gunpowder to 1 sulfur/charcoal to balance it out.
Make shots count, dont mindlessly spray.
Why, so you'll have tons of ammo to shoot naked people?
It was too easy getting ammo earlier.
Youre making bullets in a shack, if it were up to me.
Youd have to find 9mm and 556 ammo ALL OF IT. Only craftable ammo and weapons would be handmade.
its till cheap in my eyes, takes a little bit more, doesnt impact the game in major way

I just thought of that. I'm still okay with making your own high end ammo and weapons, but what about having to do that at some kind of high end workplace which you can't make yourself and have to find in an irradiated factory area? It'll still allow DIY (military grade)weapons and ammocrafting but make it much harder.

I like the idea of this minus the fact it would lead to even more forts around the rad towns controlling the supply even more. Making it harder for freshies on a server. Just my 2 cents but I like the idea/concept. Could always make some insane recipe for a personal one for your home like 500 low quality metal and 500 planks and 500 gunpowder or something crazy.
Perhaps there could be a really large area of very low radiaton around it, like 4 times the size of the facility. It won't be an issue at all when you are just passing trough, but would make it unable for people to make a shelter.
Yup, nice concept but hard to implement properly.
especially when you want to build an outpost just to have a close shelter to that workshop. You'd gain a fairly large amount of your trip to the workshop, and that won't decrease untill you are completely outside the radiation zone, thus making said outpost only usefull for quickly dumping your stuff to return to it later when you are okay again (that is if no one has planned out an attack on said shack)
Ik in most servers people in communitys would ramdomally shoot making it sound like a huge gun fight to scare anyone near by off.
Whether you like it or not people who have been playing on the server you just joined for more than a day are going to have the capacity to destroy you. With you suggesting to make it harder to acquire guns and ammo just means the vets on the server are going to have the advantage over you for longer.
