Add Gun Safe?? - Rust - Facepunch Forum

I have an idea! what if you introduce gun safes into the game as more of a permanent storage that would take something like 10 or 20 C4 to destroy?? Make it have minimal slots like 4 or 5 slots, and only 1 safe per person... This would at least leave people with something after their entire 10 story base gets ransacked!

Actually I like this idea. But the safe should need around 50 low quality metal to be crafted. Otherwise people could craft tons of those.

Couple of balance changes to this idea, otherwise I really like it. Crafted with 25 Low Quality Metal Only 1 per player (If you place another one it will delete your old one) 3 Weapon Slots, 2 Ammo Slots. Edit: Poster above me, This safe is meant to be "something" when your base gets sacked, I agree 20 C4 is a bit much, But I would feel safe number would be 3-5, Definitely not 1.

2 C4 for 3 weapon is enough i guess, who would be enough stupid to use 2 C4 for 3 M4 srsly?

The question is, why you will want to blow up a gun safe with C4 and get the gun you already have? By the time you have some decent amount of C4, I bet you other weapons are pretty much up to par. Unless the game introduce some very very very rare weapons that worth to gamble for it.

I believe the reason people quit playing on a server and lower the overall population is due to losing everything. When you have a few weapons/items, it motivates you to rebuild and fight back. Instead of just waiting for a wipe or starting over on a new server.

If they added this, they should just be non-destroyable by players (only through decay). I mean... who in their right mind is going to use up their C4 just for a few weapons and nothing else?
