Divide the servers in 2 main groups: Official Servers & Private Servers(Player rented) - Rust

I can't emphasize more the need of a system that does just that. Maybe some of the old players are familiar with the Official Servers, the only ones running prior to shared hosting becoming available and the server list quadrupling in size. What about the new players that join and are subject to admin abuse coming from those MAGGOTS renting their own server and STROKING cocks with their fellow teammates???? Summary of what happened in the last 2 hours of "tying" to play. The moment I joined one of the players(which i later found out was an admin) started telling me how awesome the server is, that it never crashes and it has no lag. All cool, right ? GOOD! Next, he asked me where I was located and moments after I've seen him running behind me(probably teleported to my location). [B]He started throwing me kevlar and a M4 on the ground telling me it's a welcome gift.*LOL*[/B] I thought hey, why not, let's stick around for a bit and see what other tricks this guy has to offer. [B]Fast Forward, 20 min+ have passed, I've built a shack near some forest and I hear UGHA UGHA UGHA Caveman sounds and 3 guys approaching me from one side.[/B] I keep on shooting one of them, he wasn't shooting me at all, just moving towards my position, not even trying to avoid the bullets at all. Wasted the ammo that came with the M4 and that's when I realized he wasn't going to die any time soon. Next thing I know, i felt like this [IMG]http://i.imgur.com/UwAaKlW.jpg?3[/IMG] 3 guys on my ass chasing me with hatchets, yelling like neanderthals and me being the object of their amusement... [U]2nd server[/U] I spawn and get huge lag, turn around and see a huge structure all made out of metal it must have had 10x10 foundations or more, as tall as 20 levels probably... I see a guy looking at me from near the base, he's tag was [BOSS] ^^ and wrote in chat telling me to approach him without hesitation. Again, I told myself: "Why not, let's see what kind of Black Magic will my eyes witness this time" He invited me over into his Metal Fortress, opened and closed doors along the way and at one point he closed a door in front of me, thus blocking me in a metal room. Again, I felt like a helpless [IMG]http://i.imgur.com/UwAaKlW.jpg?3[/IMG] but he assured me that everything will be alright once he finds accommodation for me. I will be your host for tonight(rest of your life).[/B] Well I do hope you had a good laugh, for me it was both funny and frustrating knowing that this might not just be a 1 time thing. tl;dr Their server their rules, might as well change my skin to a [IMG]http://i.imgur.com/UwAaKlW.jpg?3[/IMG]. Maybe I'll go un-noticed .. Cloudy with a chance of ban if my post didn't entertain one of the mods. :v:

It would be nice to have a easy way to tell the official servers from the private ones.

Many people Run Vanilla servers our server we send out extra air drops and place random helping gifts into peoples inventorys other than that our server is vanilla pop by if you like GameOverNetwork PvP We are toying with the idea of having strongholds to raid just to add a little more spice to the game. We also don't allow the building inside of rocks this reaults in a 48Hr Ban.

Since the private servers, I can't enjoy the game anymore. I really hope people will look over this post...

Can we establish the vocabulary before moving forward? Not a fan of calling the current unofficial servers 'private'. Private is when you can't join unless invited or given a password. There are no such servers right now because the mechanisms to support it don't exist. How about 'Official' and 'Unofficial'?

I have an "Unofficial" server. I don't teleport, spawn items, or send extra air drops. I live in a crappy little wood house and the people that play have a great time. Myself and 2 others actively monitor the server and have kick/banned a handfull of people already in order to keep the peace on the server. Maybe make a thread "Looking for Server"...list your requirements maybe? Proactivity beats reactivity in this case. Hope you find what you're looking for.
