Are there any plans to change the distance before you can see a player's name. Not sure if it's like this for everyone but I cannot tell who a player is until they are right up on top of me. It makes sense to me to be able to see names maybe 40-50 yards away. I almost killed my pal yesterday because he snuck up on me lol. Plus I think it would make for a more well-known community. Maybe that's not the point I don't know. It's just my two cents... what you guys think?
I think names should appear if you iron-sight them no matter how far away they are.
The uncertainty adds an important tactical element with friend or foe identification - If you don't have effective communication within a group, friendly fire incidents becomes more likely.
Being able to see all your party member's green glowing names from a kilometer away would be pretty lame, if you ask me.

I agree, but I think they'd need to add a delay based on the range so that you won't really by able to ID a moving target far away. There needs to be something to simulate your ability to recognize a face in real life. I think a lot of the KOS attitude people complain about comes from the fact that even if you make friends it's impossible to tell who is who until it's too late.

That'd be horrible, you'd have a free wh during nighttime. Fine as it is now.
I think all we need are some sort of coloured armbands, hats or some other form of identification.
