A very vauleable lesson that I learned today on Rust

I was in rad town grabbing some boxes and I hit an M4 with 4 mod slots and some ammo! Jackpot! I turn around and a naked guy starts begging me not to kill him. He says he's new and that he keeps dying and he's lost so I feel bad and decide not to kill him. A lot of people have been putting bad reviews on metacritic about this game because of people slaughtering fresh spawns.
So I turn my back to leave the room and this guy pulls out a shotgun and shoots me in the back of the head and steals my M4!
The lesson here is that feeling bad about killing noobs will only increase the chance that you yourself are killed!
Never trust any1 in a rad town :/
The only way that i see possible to prevent it, is to have the weapons show up on the player when holstered. Like, the rifles and shotgun goes onto your back, pistols on the hip, or something like that. Just to make them visible. At least, that way, you'd know if he's lying or not.
I mean, realistically speaking, how the hell do you keep your shotgun concealed if you're not wearing any clothes? Must be one hell of an underwear...
Well you should start learning valuable lessons of grammar in school!
i was in rad town when i saw someone. i was about to shoot and kill him but a squeaky voice came outta nowhere and said "please dont kill me, im friendly". so i turned and went into a building to loot all the crates. when i got outside he was nowhere to be found.
if he came up to me begging i would've killed him. i learned nonthreatening people always turn and run, while the bandits and liers always stay to say they're friendly so they can shoot you in the back.
Only trust the people that run away as soon as they see you.
The Five golden rules of Rust:
1# - If they run with a gun out, shoot them.
2# - If they say they're friendly, shoot them just in case they're lying.
3# - Naked man has bandages -> Shoot them
4# - If not sure, shoot.
5# - Any other case, shoot.

Totally this, great idea!
Problem with the weapons on your back if they're holstered, is if you have like 10 of every gun on you, then your character would become like uber glitchy :P

Then have it pick the most powerful weapon you have holstered and display that one only.
If a naked guy reaches u then by all means shoot him. If a naked guy is minding his own business then I wouldn't shoot him.
The best way to go into a town is naked with a gun, people half the time ignore you.

I second this. If OP showed no intent to kill the naked man, why would he come up begging for mercy? If the man was innocent he would have gotten the hell out of there.
hahaha Yep shot everyone! I used to be very nice and I got shit upon allot. Then I make guns and shoot anyone that runs up to me and I have gotten very successful at this game haha.
Oh and people say they always die are the real idiots who do not know how to adapt like for 1 never ever start a fire at night or run into danger areas with clans or known attackers are
There are 2 ways to solve this, One has been mentioned above Showing weapons on bodies.
The 2nd would be, Not allowing the carrying of weapons unless your wearing clothing,
all but the hatchet, But again it is shown on the body when not in your hand.
Just my 2 cent. :)
