• Rust or 7DTD?

There's probably another thread on this but I've been wondering wether or not to stay on rust, or obviously, buy 7 Days To Die. For those who don't know what 7DTD is, it's basically like rust except multiplayer hasn't been added, its got a bigger world, map, more crafting recipes, and lots more features. Since i've been wanting to stick to one game. Which should I play on?
Rust, 7DTD is the ugliest game I have ever seen. Lol but please dont spend 50-60$ ona key. :p

I have both games, and personally I would go with rust. 7 Days to Die is addicting for the first few days of playing, but then it gets repetitive, and at this point of the game in 7DTD, it is very basic stuff. But in the future, 7 DTD has promised some good things, but currently, rust.

i've been following 7DTD for quite a time now, and when i got my chance to play it from the page's download link, I tried it to see it wasn't as exciting as i would have wanted sadly
well, considering i bought 7d2d and its actually fun... i dont care what it looks like. i'm sorry but minecraft, dayz, warz (GAH!), all looked like crap when they came out.. most still do... so whats the big deal? its pretty awsome, get it, or dont. i know i'm getting rust... and i've already got 7d2d i got it from kickstarter.. its too bad garry didn't do it that way... *sigh* well, who knows, maybie i'll get one 'next time' lol. 7d2d has crafting, mining, blah blahing, zombies, so i like it. its a lot like rust, if rust had been more like minecraft.
I never liked Minecraft (the building part) and obviously I don't like 7DTD either because it's very similar. I'm actually surprised how much I enjoy Rust. It's far from perfect and there are a lot of stuff missing but that's to be expected from an Alpha stage. I really enjoy it though, except when I finally build my own shack and it gets raided by 4 axe men threatening to kill me... It was hilarious though... "We're absolutely friendly!" *4 people hacks on my door with their axes*... Yeaaahhhh I'd say get Rust. Just don't buy it for a lot of money :P Just wait.
Hands down rust
if you like more of a minecraft style game, go for 7d2d, if not, rust is a GREAT dayz alternative.. just dont pay 190 bucks like the last guy who bought the latest key did (i'm so not kidding, SOMEONE paid 189 bucks for the most recent rust key!) [editline]9th September 2013[/editline] OH! i almost forgot, there's another game out, its called SURVIVE! you can see it on steam... i dont know if you'll like it as much as rust.. but the creator is really working on the graphics side, so it wont look anything like 7d2d, but rather like arma 2/3. i found it on greenlight (im constantly on greenlight to check the latest stuff and see whats what :) )
I say both but if you have to have one rust but just simply for the fact that 7 days dosnt have the online multi play or certain things out yet for the first alpha build.
7d2d does have multiplayer... who told you that? whoever did was incorrect. heck, i have played WITH the devs on their own multiplayer server... so i have no idea what he's talking about.
Yes they have coop multiplayer where you have to play with friend or someone and enter ther IP im talking bout full blown multiplayer with servers and people running around you know. They say multiplayer will be out next update until then its just co op. So thats what im talking about. There is a differance

I got both of the games and i really like 7DTD this game is awesome and i like rust too both of the games amazing!
Rust has much better gunplay and fluidity then 7DTD. Both are in alpha however. But considering Garys Mod has tons of sand you can drown in , he has a leg up.
7dtd is a good game :D

There is a differance
oh, you mean so you can kill people and act friendly.. my bad. -.- i thought you meant you know, multiplayer. you know; as in; multiple people... whatever.. i believe they already have a workaround and are working on another setup. right now i think there's a minecraft multiplayer they are using for you know... griefing.. cuz we all know you mean you cant KILL people.. that is obviously what you meant.
The best game out of the two is obviously Rust. However, I must say that 7DTD is somewhat enjoyable. But over the two definitely Rust.
Don't compare the games. One is a zombie survival game, the other is a player survival game. They're both different kinds of games, and they're both extremely fun. The only other game that I can compare the first day/night cycle to in 7DTD is minecraft, which is phenomenal. And rust, nothing is more satisfying than killing a bitchass in full kevlar with a 9mill and some cloth pants.
multiplayer has been in 7dtd since release no the world isnt bigger its just rust hasent added anything the the newly opened world yet also 7dtd has alot of problems that are not being fixed its slow to be developed i recommend u wait until 7dtd has had a few more updates i believe soon there releasing 1.1 soon that will be making it so servers dont crash after too many blocks are placed its not only co op its just that most the servers are strictly whitelisted co op u can kill other players just as u can a zombie only bad thing is u can see all players on the map and u can also spawn right on top of them so u can continually spawn grief people
There is no "multiplayer" in 7dtd atm. Its coop, 4 players can connect with the original version of the game and without mods.
Are we going to argue semantics, or answer the damn question? It has network ability for you to play with your friends. its in alpha, just like rust, so only time will tell what the final multiplayer will look like.. anyway.. why not go ask on the 7d2d forums? asking here seems a bit... pointless. i like it, but its more like minecraft than dayz, just with zombies. YES there will be multiplayer, but atm its only coop, you CAN grief players, but its frowned upon atm. mostly folks atm are just meeting up and helping each other with their creations.. so think of it as Creative Mode in Minecraft with Zombies... there, i hope that answers your question.
try The Dead Linger
Or http://www.havenandhearth.com/portal/ permadeath is fun.
Or http://www.havenandhearth.com/portal/ permadeath is fun.
I actually used to play that game all the time. I got bored of it after a week because of how long it takes to do everything, even though I had gotten my own house and fenced it off.
Yea, 7 days to die has potential, but the devs are no were near as fast as garry and friends at updating.

There is multiplayer, I have been on a server with more than 10-15 people online, tho it lagged a bit, might be because I live in Norway and the server was located in the USA...

Does 7 Days to die run on a mac? I've heard that Rust struggles to do so.
