Having a stair case and having that stair case broken down and someone throwing up a ceiling and now your whole base is non usable. This needs to be fixed.
Sooo. You want base rading to stop on rust? xD
Sooo. You want base rading to stop on rust? xD
He meant griefing... But that's the game.
I agree. I know the common answer will be "build more ways up" etc But the reality is it takes 30 seconds for a group of 4 people to break down 4 sets of stairs and put ceilings on them.

I had a base way up. I had the pillars all around my base to stop people from building next to it. They blew down 1 wall and 9 metal doors and at the end they blew up my stairs and put up ceiling. I had a hidden sleeping bag and come inside my base not only did they lock off my bottom area which can never be broken back into. They walled off sections of my house that i can't get to anymore lol Just think someone can break into your house get to your stair case take it out and put a ceiling and now you are stuck inside your house to die. lol.
Building a middle pillar will block ceilings but not stairways
Can anyone confirm? Seems like a perfect solution.
Can anyone confirm? Seems like a perfect solution.
Doesn't solve anything but people building around your house and even than they can still do it if they can lay down a foundation next to it. This doesn't change the fact that you have a stair case to get to your next level the only way you can get to your next level.

Thats why I'm wondering if you can put a piller in the middle of stairs, never seen it myself.

I don't know about you, but the idea of some guy sneaking into my house in the middle of the night and tearing down my stairs is hilarious. Rather than punish players or prevent your base from being comedically rearranged, maybe you should just invest in some better security.

At the end of the day 2-3 C4, a ceiling and 30 seconds is all you need if you only have one set of stairs, if you have more then you just need more people or time. I also wouldn't call being unable to access a base you spent days creating hilarious. It hasn't happened to me yet, and I hope it never does.
They've already implemented something to mitigate door griefing. I say they fix this too.
Garry will reply to any thread that remotely strokes his ego, where as ones like this that provide legitimate feedback go completely ignored. This shit needs fixed ASAP
Like someone said earlier all you have to do is place a staircase then in the middle of the foundation that the stairs are on put a pillar.
Like someone said earlier all you have to do is place a staircase then in the middle of the foundation that the stairs are on put a pillar.
But they can still destroy the stairs put up 4 pillars and put a ceiling on it. Also this isn't even good enough for a base for the simple reason you cant put a roof on that design still making it easy for people to get into your house . If you say i'm wrong post a pics of what you are talking about.

The griefing like that is extremely annoying. I don't grief and I don't like it at all. If the owner of the building could actually destroy any ceiling attached to their building, no matter who has placed it, it would alleviate a base becoming unusable by the griefers. Sure... you'd still need to blow it, or remove it somehow, but at least you could fix the damage caused by people closing/locking you in.
I'm going to take a look at this issue today.
