The game is still in alpha, gui modifications is likely VERY low on their to-do list.
I can see their to-do list? User-friendly interface should be in the first place.

Yeah they did do that new ui when gathering resources or checking if the door isn't yours. So why not a lower resolution interface.

Hah, I hadn't thought of answering with that, that's true as well, it would appear he is running at a 4:3 monitor. OP, get a cheap upgrade, that's not gonna cut it in this day and age.
I prefer a lower resolution (for several reasons). Can't play. Hopefully that will be fixed soon.
Would be great for players that are using crap computers, so they can actually gain more for :P
