Just a suggestion that there should be an in-game map not sure if this is a repeat or not haven't seen anything on this yet. But an in-game map to spawn with or create out of cloth would be a great addition.
Look on the wiki
I support an in-game map as well. Even though I am starting to understand my location without a map, it is still unrealistic. I don't know about everyone else, but in this event the first thing I would be doing is getting a map for where I plan on staying. I don't think having an in-game map will make the game all carebear easy either.
Look on the wiki
I see the map on the wiki but still an in-game map would be great. If it were to tell you your location
I say no to a minimap, but like a craftable hand held little held map wouldnt be bad. maybe be able to mark things down on it and copy it? but it shouldnt tell you where you are,. you should have to guess/know
I personally want a compass but a map would be nice

I disagree, I don't think there should be a map. And no, it isn't unrealistic. I for one would not make a map if this happened in real life because if you get killed and a bandit takes your map, you just led them to your community to kill and raid everyone else. IF they do implement a map I think this should be a consequence of using one. Learn some navigational skills guys. You have the sun and moon and many different landmarks to go by. It really isn't that hard to find things in this game. Lastly, in response to the Thread author, yes, this has been talked about to death. A million times in a million different threads. You should search before posting.
I personally want a compass but a map would be nice
AGREED.. something I noticed is really cool in the early stages of this game is how easy it is to get turned upside down.. you start running in one direction or chasing after something and bam you are like where the hell am I? if we could craft a map so we could actually look at a map and then utilize the compass to get around... but as far as a mini map and tracking system go I say NO. SURVIVAL GAME! lets make it interesting! no mini maps, actual maps that have to be crafted (that don't tell you where you are) and a compass.
I personally want a compass but a map would be nice
This, i'd rather just have a compass. Don't need a map
This is supposed to be realistic. Maybe an in-game map could be an item that you find on zombies or in radtowns? I doubt a bunch of naked guys running around with rocks would have maps on them.
No maps. Yes to a compass. -Only loosers Self-rate-

imo. You should be able to write on pieces of paper. It would be a completely interactive system. You would just use your mouse to draw stuff on paper. Depends on you what will it be. You could draw a map. You could make a note You could waste paper and draw dicks on it. They could be attached to walls/trees. Basically, any vertical structure. Maybe you could even make Bounty pages. What do you all think? :P

Garry already said there wont be a map or compass, he has also taken the liberty of removing the /do coords command. there was really no real design concept for doing so, it was mainly just to piss off the community

Maybe a map that gets the areas you walk on drawed on it when you hold it in your hand.If you explore a lot you can for example sell the map for few m4s

take it up with king garry, it's his game not mine
A compass would be handy. Might need to add magnets to the game to do it, but I'm sure it could be used in other crafting recipes (trap doors, mag-lock doors, etc). A craftable map would be nice too. Paper + charcoal and you have to travel an area to map it.
