Hello admins.
A friend of mine was accidentally banned from the server we play on. She wasn't accused of hacking, so the best assumption I can make is that she was banned because this is her first steam account, and rust is her first (and only) game on steam.
I asked our admin if he can unban her. He said that currently they don't have a function to unban a specific user, they can only "unban - all" banned users. Obviously we don't want that. So my question to all the admins out there is: Can an admin unban a specific user?
Thanks for any help that can be provided, I will pass it along to the admin of the server.
yes all the admin has to do is access the server files and delete her name from the list, it is very simple. it can not be on in game though.
The owner of the server can go into bans.cfg and remove the banid command with her steamid64.
However, if the admin banned her for no apparent reason then you're probably better off just finding another server to play on.
Oh and the server has to be restarted for the change to take effect sooo..... Many admins will probably not do this.
Its not a name, its her steam ID so all you need to know is her actually steam ID and then tell the server OWNER (usually the only one who has access to the files) and he can look in the list for that sequence of numbers and remove them.
Thanks for the quick reply Prosek, I will pass the info along!
