[B]Alright, so before I start, I recognize that Admins can do whatever they want with their server, someone who endorses them is paying for it. If you can accept that 100% with 0 reservations, this is not the thread for you, unless you've come to flame or troll for whatever reason.[/B]
[B][U]That being said, I caution you all on joining the [SnS] server in rust.[/U][/B]
Why you might ask? Or maybe you won't because you want to go find out for yourself, or hell maybe you've decided to keep reading to see what this post contains for the lulz. Because if there is something called [B][U]"admin-abuse"[/U][/B] - Look no further.
In [B][U]8+ hours of farming for resources[/U][/B] in a high-resource spawn area (metal valley, resource hole, surrounding zombies and radtown north of that area) with 6 people [friends I had made in Rust and we were on TS], and with [B][U]one of the admins (Splug) passing out 200 Wood planks, 5 metal doors on the server at one point in time,[/U][/B] it is apparently[B] impossible[/B] that 2 5 story wood tower with large wood spikes around the base complete with metal foundations with metal pillars (in the middle of course) is a[B] legitimate. [/B]
So when I logged on, I thought hey call an admin and lets fix this because the admins have been relatively decent (the previous passing out of 200 wood planks etc. was in response to the door shared mod wiping peoples structures).
So I called an admin over (GoobNitro) and others (Gedway - unsure if admin), to come to my base to help me fix what looked like a clear "hack-attack", but then I found out that the admins made a shit ton of c4 and blew up our towers. So when I say "our" I am talking about 5 other people I had been playing with, including 1 other person who also received the admin package (200 wood planks, etc), and we hardcore farmed that and the surrounding areas, including killing people who still had the admin package on them (and kevlar since the original admin package only wiped buildings, not the items people had on them or the recipes they had learned), giving us a retarded amount of resources. Prior to the building wipe, I had learned everything in the game (full kevlar, all guns (bolt action), etc) because they are relatively frequent drops if you play enough hours. So after farming players and resources for like i said 8+ hours, we couldn't have legitimately established the buildings we had. [B][U] AND THAT WAS IT. IT WAS SUPPOSEDLY IMPOSSIBLE TO HAVE WHAT WE HAD GIVEN THE TIME WE HAD TO GET IT.[/U][/B] T
hats why our buildings were blown up while we were sleeping with Admin-created c4 (completely, leaving only ceilings, foundations, and pillars). At least, thats what the admin (GoobNitro) had said and he didn't give a flying fuck whether or not my claim was legitimate and said something along the lines of "That's unfortunate. You can either restart or leave. We decided you had too much shit so we knocked it all down and took it all away)." And okay fine, [U]Mr. I'm an admin I can do whatever the fuck I want[/U]. [B][U]But that's not even the biggest part of the Admin abuse.[/U][/B] He then says [B][U]"You know if you get banned on this server, there's a bunch of servers that are adopting the ban list, so you can't join those either." [/U][/B] Wow. First I get hack-cused with 0 evidence of it (Im not just talking about video of me hacking - I supposedly Duped my materials even though admin passed out a shit ton of free materials to everyone server-wide, some of whom we raided to get said materials), then I get "Well sucks, that we we did, live with it or GTFO", and further, "If we decide to ban you here, other server admins who will adopt our banlist (an idea that splug shared server wide a day or two before) will also ban you."
[B]TL;DR [/B]- [SnS] Admins - At least GoobNitro, (unsure if Gedway is one of them) destroy everything you have on suspicion - and suspicion only, tell you to deal with it, and threaten you with server-group bans on a whim. So if you want to go play in that [SnS] server, do so at your own risk. Build too high, too fast, you might just log on the next day with nothing with an admin telling you too bad, I felt like it, want more? (which if you skipped the first couple sentences in my post, they are well within their rights to do because someone pays for the server). Also, if you decide to use a supposed ban-list going around, you may be banning legitimate players from your servers. I saw several people get banned this way across the 5 or so days I've been playing in the server but I never thought it was real. Guess I was wrong.

Bad luck, I know server admins are not "adopting" a ban list for the sheer fact of crappy admins banning for no reason. (I am server admin myself)

Sucks. Sounds like a crap server. Unfortunately that's the name of the game right now, and the only solution is to find a better server.
When I'm in-game as admin I limit my powers to helping out noobs with free cooked chicken or 100 wood or token things like that. If someone's going to lose I'd rather it be because they met a better player than because they couldn't figure out the game fast enough.
